Very nice work on this kit. Love the subtle weathering.

I Have this kit, but what keeps me from starting it are the chains on the rear of the turret

Did you use the kit's chains or the ones by Legend?

Lovely job.

I also have this kit (almost fully built), but my build has ground to a halt at the ball & chain stage.

I've tried the kit-supplied parts, the Legend set, fishing shot with chain .... but still can't get results I'm happy with.

I see many Markavas around there, but this the one I was most liked. The paint job and weathering is realy beautiful.

Realy well done.

The mine is coming. I'm anxiously waiting.

Now that's some "Fantastic" paint chips and weathering. I like that you didn't go all heavy with any rust. As some do, I think that some guys that try to make the transition from WWII armor to Modern, some times use the skill for WWII on Modern IDF. Guys remember if you'r doing a 2000 Merkava VI based in the southern region of Israel you would not see much rust at all. It's a bit dry down there. I'm just saying remember the region on witch you IDF armor is based. This will help in your weathering work.

I'll second that request as it looks pretty spot on to what I've seen in referance photos. as mentioned above, the anti-slip coating is missing. I kind of don't blame you for this as I can't find a confirmation of where all of it exists on the vehicle.
All in all, it's a gorgeous chariot for a desert romp!
Cheers!

ehh... anti-slip coating ... I know but this is model simply from the box
Paint is mixed Vallejo, Model Master and maybee Lifecolor (Im don't sure). I prepared all my color separately to every model and used light shade and filters. I can't speak about concrete paints because all it mix different colours.

Best regards

Thankyou Juankar! Just as I guessed using logic-"Anti-slip anywhere you can put a foot".
that's a great site/link you posted! Saved that one for IDF referance for sure!
Cheers!
