According to what I've read in several threads, Masterclub wheels and tracks sets are must-haves...

On a side note, you can take a look at Olivier's impressive BMP-2 build log for inspiration :

As Frenchy says the Masterclub wheels and and tracks are very good.
In terms of turrets and corrected hulls theres a upper hull set from SP Designs (although the hatches are sealed) and SP also do a turret (again this is a solid peice of resin with no interior). Modelpoint also used to do a resin BMP-2 turret but I imagine it would be very tough to get hold of.
SP Designs also do corrected fenders which are useful.
I used quite alot of aftemarket parts on my BMP-2 in my diorama, so feel free to check it out. I corrected the upper hull myself though as I needed to be able to have the hatches open for the scratch built interior.

RB Model make a really nice BMP-2 2A42 30mm cannon:
http://www.jbmodel.eu/product_info.php/cPath/22/products_id/1440?osCsid=1a807016b27414c95cb7e8ce1497d8f2
For the turret smoke launchers i'd suggest the new Voyager sets:
http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=PE%20A202
They also do a set of empty smoke launcher tubes and modern Russian antenna bases.
Masterclub wheels are tracks are the best around and well worth buying. AEF designs do a corrected upper hull with correct rear hatch alignment, but the hull retains all the other inaccuracies.
You really need to be prepared for an extensive project with this if you want to make it accurate. failing that, wait for the new Miniarm kit and stick the Afghan features on that.

thank you guys, Frenchy useful link, great build Jon, I'll save it for future reference when i start the building of mine, Rob, I didnt know that Miniarm will launch a BMP, thanks for letting me know.
I'll go for the Masterclub wheels and tracks. Maybe i try to get the upper hull and turret from SP, Im not looking for 100% accuracy so if they are expensive I'll just use what Zvezda offers.
