Hi guys
Im looking to build a Tiger 1 early to represent a DAK vehicle. Any sugestions on which kit to get? I'm looking for 1/48. So far my choice is between the 1/48 Tamiya Tiger DAK or the AFV club 1/48 Tiger early. Which would be the best choice as I want maximum detail without having to buy lots of aftermarket stuff. I have built the tamiya tiger 1 early and the AFV club tiger 1 late and found the AFV club kit much better in comparison so I would be inclined to get the AFV club kit but would it make an accurate DAK tiger?
Any help would be great
Cheers
Matt

Go with the AFV Club kit, you might have do a bit of scratch building to get the vehicle you want, but on the whole I think you'll be happier.

The DAK had a few Tigers but this kit does not represent any of them accurately, to my knowledge.
Most of the Tigers in Africa did not belong to the DAK, but to s.Pz.Abt. 501 and 504.
This kit is a very good match to certain Tigers from s.Pz.Abt. 504 but it does not include decals for them.
I have discussed the decals.

Thanks for the advice guys,
David thats a pretty good site you made there, very helpful.
So if I get the AFV club kit and make a Tiger from 504 is there any aftermarket decals for it. Anyone know where I could get some?
Cheers

I've heard that complaint from other people and I can't diagnose it from here. The site looks fine to me.

I go thru a local carrier PLDT, though am not sure what they use for international access. Its not the first time that I visited your site, as I've been using it before for reference. I don't get 404s, its just a blank page since last week. Will check on my side as well. Cheers and all the best. Tat
