Great looking build but 2 questions.
Where do you keep it, and how long did it take to build?
Prost

This dio looks Great. I really like seeing anything done with the Dora! I have one of these monsters and look forward to the day I'll be able to start work on it.

Very nice indeed. I'm interested in the 'bunker' on top of the cliff - what is it and what's the radar (?) unit in it. Also, where did you get the bulldozer/tractor at the lrft front of the first picture. I'd appreciate close-ups of these as well as the maker's details.
Thanks
Jim

Hi Roger,
Great Dio. How long you been at it? I'm retireing on the 31st and have a Dora along with a multitude on support "stuff" in the plastic room just waiting. The one thing I kept getting conflicting info on was the tuggers. What locomotive did the Germans use to move her on the dual tracks?
Thanks Dave

been at it for couple of years now. The locomotive is the one that is in the diorama. It's called the D311 V188 diesel-electric. It was created by Krupp exclusively for the Dora. They were twin diesels which were always connected. There was also an additional set named 002a and 002b. The one in the diorama is 001a and 001b. It is scratch built and I believe the only one that exists in 1/35 scale. I am not aware of any other D311 which has been created in 1/35.
