Hi Guys,
Just thought I would post this up. This is my attempt at the DML Panther D premium. I used as much PE as possible this time. It was painted with tamiya acyrlics and weathered with oils and mig pigments. Sorry for the photos, I will try and take some better ones at some point.
Hope you like!

Weathering is great, but I don't understand the predominance of rust and holes on the grilles? I suppose it could be WP damage but usually that much rust wouldn't really have been allowed to build up on an operational vehicle at the time depicted.

Great looking panther mate. The weathing looks spot on, not too much but enough to add plenty of character. I always over or under do mine.

Glad you like it guys
Like many people I also have a tendancy to go too far with weathering but I think im finally learning that less is more!
Kevin, I think your right about the rust. It didnt stand out too much until I looked at the photos, now it stands out a mile when I look at it! what to you mean by WP damage?
Cheers

Looks very good, subtle weathering and great looking cammo. I would go a bit lighter on the muzzle blast effect since it looks a bit too dark. I don't see the antenna on the rear deck.

Hi guys
The panther is now complete
the final things i did was tone down the muzzle brake, tone down the rust on the grills and spare tracks. I then added the antenna made from spare guitar string. I decided it needed a figure to give it a better sense of scale so I added one from a zvezda kit. Its not the greatest figure ever so I may replace it in the future.
Finally I ordered a tamiya display case to keep the dust away. I just added some mud and dust effects to the base to give it a bit more life.
Heres the final pics
Now onto that 1/72 tiger I started and then the 1/48 panzer III ausf L I have waiting
