Very nice really
The detail sets surely improved the reality level and look of the vehicle.
How will you plan to paint it?

Looks great so far.
The blast set looks tres bien.
Are you going for sand or 3-tone colour? What's the big 6-sided device above the .50?

Thanks for the kind words.
IMHO the set Blast is, as usual with this brand, very fine and easy to assemble.
I only had some problems to align the wheels but it seems to be due to the conception of the trumpeter kit.
It will be sand color with the echelon decals.
The device beside the .50 is an anti sniper device called LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device). Non lethal but can cause vision troubles and definitive deaf.
Cheers

It is a very nice build and I like the detail you have put into it. I have personally not seen that type of Rhino mount on them, this by no means it is not accurate. The ones we used during my time in theater had tow bars on the front attached at the tow hooks and supported by the winch cable drawn tight through the tow eye of the bar. The few I did see with Rhino's installed were from another FOB and had this very large custom built bumper installed ont he front. The kit on your model looks much nicer than what that unit had.
Cheers

Hello everyone, Emilien the ASV looks great!! Here is a picture of the Rhino mount that is in question.
I took this picture when I deployed to Iraq in 2008-2009 at FOB Sykes. The mount that Blast model is very correct for this type. The LRAD however I have never seen these things myself as they were just coming online while I was deployed. We did hear about the devices from some of the Stryker guys when we got back to our home station.
Other than that the ASV looks impressive and I can't wait to see some paint on it. Keep up the good work.

It is good to see that pic, Ialthough I was not questioning the validity of the setup, it was just not the version I had seen.

I knew you weren't question the setup Mike. Just a picture I had in my collection wanted to share with everyone. Think every unit in the army has different SOP for equipment setup, my truck alone I built stuff for that would not be in the other truck on the line as my needs were different from the next soldier.

Just a few things wrong with your post there, Chris.
First, there are no trees like that on FOB Sykes, if any at all.
Second, that is FOB Diamondback.
Third, you did not take that photograph.

No pwn'ing intended. Just correcting what I am sure are just some lapses in his memory. I know where the photo comes from because I took it myself during one of what Gary "the Toolman" Owsley refers to as my "so called deployments."
