Hello everyone. I'm making model for several years but I realized that the kits I made before were all WW2 era. So I want to make some modern armor and from the stash I picked a M1A2 sep (dragon), a challenger II (trumpeter) and a T80 BV (zvezda). While building this kits I wanted to practice some weathering, chipping and pigments. At firs attempt the weathering was too much so I cleaned them and tried to make the weathering again.

The built is not finished yet. There are some little things to do. I want to take your opinions so all critics are welcomed.

here comes the pics

These look pretty good. Nice job on the weathering and painting.

A couple pointers on the Abrams. You may want to paint the half circles on the wheel hubs black with the center bolt/nut sand. They are actually clear and filled with oil, but look black. You can see them here.

Also, the tracks are too loose. Abrams tracks are live track and are very tight. Removing a link or two should tighten them up enough. You may also want to paint inside the smoke launcher tubes black to give them more depth as well. Lastly, the short, EPLRS antenna should be dark green. The other two antenni should also be dark green and 2 3/4 inches long.

Good job on it and the others. A couple tweaks and it will look great.

thanks a lot for notificacions. Yesyerday night after taking pics I painted the half circles on the wheels. the tracks are too loose as you say. ıt's because of the DS tracks I think. I afraid to make the tracks tight by cutting a piece from the tracks because I think if I do so, the tracks will make pressure on the idler wheels and make deformation. I tried to correct this by gluing the tracks with CA.

I'll paint the antennas and smoke launcher interıors tonight.

Thanks a lot again..

some progress on abrams. antennas are made from copper wire and painted dark green.

at that point I have a question. Is there a m1a2 with a pirate flag on antenna? I like pirate flags and I'm sure I saw a pic of a tank with a pirate flag but I'm not sure it was an abrams or not.

Looks much better now. Great job. I'm sure I have seen a Pirate flag on some Abrams. Tankers put all sorts of flags on their tanks. I have seen team banners, state flags, etc. I say go for it.

Your Challenger looks good..if anything , they had a reputation of HEAVY paint chipping. the paint would literally come off in large pieces. You could hit all the edges w/ dark green, and add a few scratches like on the Abrams.

Great work! The "leaking" oil hub is a cool touch!
