Hi Armorama!
I'm looking to buy the Tamiya BT-7 kit they have released just recently. Is it avaibale through any websites yet?

I'm really looking forward to sinking my hands into this kit since I'm going to build it as Finnish BT 42 anti-tank tank. I'm lucky enough to have a resin turret for it.

HLJ and Luckymodel don't have it as of yet. I'm waiting too, it's gotta be good!

I've had the best success on pre-orders with HLJ ... give 'em a try.

This one's going to be a good seller for Tamiya!

I´m also looking forward to get Tamiya BT-7. I have JS-Models resin turret for BT-42 and I´m just waiting some kind of reports, how to use Tamiya kit to make BT-42. My plans was to use Zvezda BT-7 roadwheels, EE BT-42 hull and that resin turret but now Tamiya did this...

I think the only major modification to do is the is the front fenders. the other things are just small stuff. Just as with the other BT-7 kits.

lsamodels.co.uk have it listed as available from the end of July at a price of 39.99 GB Pounds - so by no means a cheap kit (considering its size).

The latest issue of Model Military International has a great build article by Brett Green. Looks to be a great kit. And it looks like a few of us hung on to the JS Models BT-42 turret long enough . Who will be the first to start? I wonder if the tracks are correct for BT-42?

Jim, it's good since the Js Models turret isn't available any longer from what I can see. Maybe we should start an BT-42 thread? I'm looking for wartime pictures and I have only one for instance.

Wartime pics of BT-42 are hard to find. But there´s 4 wartime pics on a book called "The Finnish armoured vehicles 1918-1997" by Esa Muikku and Jukka Purhonen. Book is bilanguage in finnish and english.

I wasn't going to go for this kit but there is Talk of the JS models BT 42 turret being updated and rel;eased again. Steve Zaloga did a great build of a BT 42 over on ML
