No attitude intended, I was trying to see the detail you had put into the canvas cover, as the detail is lost in the background. No problem though sorry I took the time to look.

The problem is not the monitor, it is true, but if your attitude, learn to take pictures.
Greetings.

I like the Landies. Got a soft spot for these and waiting to see what you do with this one. Is that the tissue paper and watered down PVA?

In an effort to drag this back to a productive discussion, can I ask if this is the old Italeri 1:35 kit? I have one buried in the stash, so it is very useful to see how it builds up.

Vanguard, any chance you could post some more pics from other angles (especially the underside with the running gear & suspension)? Thanks in advance.

Ok the landrover is Italeri ,the trailer is Accurate Armour ,the cover is tin foil at the mo but im finding it too thin and flattens to much (wip)
The trailer is a highly detailed affair and may take some time
the landrover 3 will be some time whilst attention is served on this one
I have other ideas to add as well

Looks pretty good - how was the fit of parts? (I bought mine ages ago, intending to do it as a safari wagon in zebra stripes like the one in Daktari...)

Folks are doing great things with milliput tarps these days, but I haven't got the hang of it myself.

Sometimes "old school" is still best! I look forward to seeing how it settles.

That is a great idea soaking it and letting it set before cutting out the tarp pattern to suit. My last try on my VW crewcab had me applying it on the frame dry and then soaking it. I was not totally happy with the fit.

Are you going to cut a paper template for a test shape then cut it on the soaked tissue?

Have you thought about the rails in between the hoops to stop the frame flopping out of shape and to give the distinctive lines under the tarp when it is draped into shape?

Looking forward to seeing how yours comes out.
