Hello.
I found some German firm who make a resin NVA trucks kits in 1/35.
http://www.modellschmiede-struppen.de/bausaetze.php
I'm interested for IFA W50 LA/A. Yes this is not Soviet but was in Soviet usage. So, may be somebody from this forum build it or other models of that firm? How are they? I see the not perfect quality on the photos, but how bad is it?

As far as I know, W-50 LA/A was never in soviet usage!? The soviets had their own trucks (more than enough, just to mention their GAZ, ZIL, KRAZ, URAL...) and hadn't gotten any eastern german trucks officially...
Anyway, its a nice model to have I guess... and a rare one

Well... its Wikipedia... I don't really trust ALL of what they say to be honest
No seriously, only a picture of a W-50 with a red star printed on the doors and soviet troops riding it would convince me, but so far I am quite sure: the W-50 was not in structural military use with the soviet troops... Civilian usage is another story... wouldn't bet against that...

They were selling their trucks to both side of the Iran-Iraq war and that’s why you see their profit dropped once that war finished (1987).
