I have just had a major birthday and my kids have offered to pay for what they call, " one of Dad's tank toys".
What I have in mind is the 1/35th Jadar no;35020 R11/SS11 Scud A resin kit.
My question is has anyone built one, seen a review or have an opinion.
Just want to be sure before I spend 130 Euros of their money.
Thanks

I can't vouch for that kit; but have you considered the Dragon Scud kit? It will be a heck of a lot cheaper!

I've built that one once before a few years ago and have another one waiting in the wings.

I do not have the SCUD-A and there is rumor that one may come out in plastic in the next 2-3 years. SHHHH! I cannot promise, but it is a good rumor.

5-Star kits, that is who they are made by, are fairly solid but can be a bit rough. They will build into what you see, but require good knowledge of building resin kits and problem solving. Instructions are not that great.

If you want it, want it now for sure, and are comfortable with the challenges of a resin kit, then go for it and enjoy it...don't look back. If you are hesitant, this may not be the kit for you. I guess it boils down to how much you want it.

Richard,
Thank you but I fought that good fight last year and building the Dragon kit had given me a taste for the Scud A.
And I am sure you wouldn't want to deprive me a chance to spend the kids money, for a change.
Jacques,
Thanks for that and you have given me pause for thought. I may instead take a slow stroll through the Accurate Armour Catalogue... then again it's such a brutal looking thing ...
Again thank you both

i have one of the 5 star SCUD-A kits in my stash.
its not to bad ,a lot of parts,a lot of cleaning up and a bit of warping but nothing that a hair dryer wont fix and yes the distructions are terrable ....but im glad i have one and will be making a start on it soon .
