If anybody's interested, I'm going to be putting together a PowerPoint presentation on doing the Terra Cotta paint method for applying the non-slip coating on modern AFVs. I'll be giving this presentation at one of my club's meetings after the first of the year.
Will be using my AFV Club Stryker MGS as the test platform.
If you're interested message me directly. I'll put together a mailing list and send it out when I've got it ready.

Done with the paint job
As you can see, i add some color especially on the mine roller in sand color and the Peli case in red.
Too much of green.
All most done
Comments welcome

Overall it looks nice. The mud splattering could be better explained in context of a setting, like the vehicle had just gone through a muddy area for the first time, say a puddle. But as has been pointed out most folks might think the vehicle would have more weathering than just at the bottom. Also, the non slip surface does seem to be a different color. I ran into this same issue when I did my Stryker and added a non slip texture. When I went to add a wash it darkened the top surfaces much too much compared to the rest of the vehicle. I started over w/ the base coat again and used a light touch on the wash for the non slip the second time around.
I also discovered on mine, as a result of the above, I likely used a bit too much of a heavier texture on my non slip which added to the original problem of the dark wash. In retrospect, I should have used a lighter texture for the Stryker's non slip (for instance the Abrams has a heavier texture) and this would have alleviated the stark contrast once I applied the wash. Maybe Seb ran into a similar result?

Missing the hook pf the cable, More wash on the side and on the top.
You are right regarding the anti-slip coating issue.
Thanks for your comments, I will take them into account.

I really like your color choice using the tan on the roller , and the green car. The peli-cases look great, really make the details pop!!! A great touch was adding the 50 cal shells around the weapon. Whay did ya use for the antenna ?
The only thing buggin me is the rings on the rear tires....I thought they were only used on the drivers side front only ?
Great work though..hope my ESV w/ plow comes out as nice!

Hi Richard,
I got this kit also and would like to see your PowerPoint presentation on doing the Terra Cotta paint method for applying the non-slip coating on modern AFVs. If it is not too late, it'd be good if I can get a copy of this. BTW, I am assuming that this product does NOT attack plastic? Thx.
