Hi, I need to make some tool clamps for my Hetzer. I was thinking of stealing some from a PE set I may have for another vehicle as I don't want to spend too much $ right now. But, I don't like that idea at all.

I was wondering if anyone may have some they are willing to sell. My local hobby store doesn't have any and I didn't want to make a big order to a mail order place and avoid the shipping. (Plus, I'm sure there are other things I'd just have to have! )

Not sure how much a PE set of these costs, but am willing to pay a fair price for maybe 8 or so clamps.

Let me know,
Steve

Let me look through my "spare bits'o brass" - I might have some you could have.

If I can't find any - I could show you how to make them from scratch - If you are interested.

Hey Sniper,
Someting i do with my German AFV's that that you could try. On all the tools, there are there are thicker sections of plastic where the clamp would be. Using a pair of pliers, marked with tapefor a guide, simply bend some copper wire for the latch handle and attach using CA glue. Or if it's an empty bracket you want, use aluminum from a pie plate and cut it in narrow strips, and add the handles as mentioned above. Cheap, materials easily aquired, and looks good. GIve it a shot.

Anybody have any spares? Anyone?

Guess I could try to make them if I can't get the fancy PE ones.

I'll give one more try here though.
