Good review, Russ! I would mention that this kit depicts a somewhat late vehicle. While it does not have the 50 mm gun, it does have the later, wider wheels, so it's correct for the 1941 time frame of the kit decals, but not for France, 1940. It's likely Dragon will eventually offer an earlier variant (or the builder can simply grab the narrow wheels from Dragon's existing Panzer III E kit).
Indeed, if you add the early wheels, leave off the air vent cowlings over the brakes, and delete the radio operator's side vision port, you have an early Ausf. E (Dragon's old E had an incorrectly angled turret side and rear contour, so the new kit is a welcome improvement).
