I need some help from our Shermaholics out there.

I am going to be building the 1/48 HB M4A3E8 Korean War kit, and the upper hull seems to be soft on the detail side.
I know that Tank Workshop makes an M4A3 Late upper hull in 1/48.

So my question to you is this: What are the differences, if any, between the M4A3 and M4A3E8 hulls?

Would I be able to use the TW replacement hull in place of the HB kit hull?

All help is appreciated

Jeremy

There should be no differences in the upper hull AFAIK. The M4A3E8 did have extended fenders but I suppose you can use the HB ones

Sounds good Pat and I figured as much, but I am largely unfamiliar with the subtle differences of the Sherman variants. I don't relish the thought of cutting the fenders off of the HB kit, but I would be much more satisfied with having the TW hull so it should be worth it.
