Anyone know of a good model shop in the Lancaster/Hershey Pennsylvania area. I just moved here from Jersey and it's all RC and model trains here.

I know of one north of you. Penn Valley Hobby, 837 West Main Street, Lansdale, Pa 19466. Phone 215 855-1268. Thier E-Mail is [email protected] . I visted it about a year ago when I was there for a wedding. They have a lot of everything. I think they also do special orders. If you have a navigation device, go to shopping and type hobby. Every time we travel I use that to find hobby shops. Also in Fine Scale Modeler's site there is a way to search for hobby shops. www.finescale.com Good luck.

Avenel Hobbies. Oh wait-you just moved FROM NJ...!

Precious little in the Hershey/Harrisburg/Lancaster area. There is a shop by the airport in Lancaster out off of rt 501, but it's mostly R/C stuff.

Know any of the shops in the Hershey area (train or other) that sell micro drill bits or Blacken-It? Nothing seems to last long around here, although I heard that one of the big Hobby Chains is coming to the Lebanon Valley Mall if it isn't there already.

Hi, I am not sure how far you are from the Allentown/Bethlehem area, there are some decent hobby shops it that area. A really nice one off of Route 33 N.
Anyway, you might try and Email Harry at [email protected]. He is a contact for the AMPS Central ,Pa chapter in Harrisburg and may have a Hobby shop listing. Good Luck in your search, I have the same problem here in NWPA trying to find the time to drive 2 hours for a LHS. I usually buy from online stores or Buy/ Sell /Trade here on Armorama. Hi Korshun,
I was out there several years ago and found a Hobbytown USA in Harrisburg and there is also a Hobby Shop in Mechanicsburg...I don't know the name. You aren't that far from Doylestown...there's a huge hobby shop there. Just go to

www.hobbyretailer.com

You'll be able to get the phone numbers and addresses of the hobby shops in your area.

I hope this helps.

I was just in Allentown over the weekend and roadtripped back to Virginia. There are a couple of very old shops in the north area of Allentown - Tony's in Coplay (63 years in business!) and Wetzels in Bath, though Wetzels is mostly RC planes. There's a nice shop on 202 on the PA side of the border with Delaware and a few on the DE side, but they were closed on Sundays when I went thru.
