Why hasn't anyone ever released an M-175 Dragon mount for the cupola? Every 113 assigned to mech units had one back in the 80s and early 90s.

If you're open to suggestions, the semicircular tow cable brackets should be rotated 90 degrees so they sit at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock.

The present 12/6 o'clock position reflects a throwback to the original 1974 Tamiya M113 kit.

The Academy M113A2 has the M175 mount.

Nice details like the trim vane extension arm but why not fix the gaping hole that Tamiya left where the IR periscope is mounted in the driver's hatch. The Eduard set has pieces for this issue.

Since we are giving suggestions on how to improve the set...

How about correcting Tamiya's mis-naming of it. With the external fuel tanks, it is an M113A3, however it should also have added armor plates to the front glacis, a series of footman loops and bolt attachments along the sides of the hull, and beefier rear ramp hinges and door handle, etc.

Or call it what it is, an M113A2, and leave the parts for the external fuel tanks out.

The rear idler wheel is still too low for either an accurate A2 or A3 though.
