Can I change my customized avatar with another customized avatar I created? What would be the dimensions of the image, maximum size, type of image?

45 x 45 actually.

GIF, JPG, or PNG (but I don't recommend that latter as they don't work on many Macs).

Wasn't PNG created to be cross platform for the network? Why else would you name Portable Network Graphic file? Silly Macs.

Only staff members are permitted animated avatars. And I think there are only 2 (Kencelot and myself).
