hey all....
Well my first projectis still ongoing (sdkfz251 dragon 1/35th). The good thing is that ive kinda turned it into a practice model for my new airbrush....yes its had about 2 paint schemes already
anyway for all those halftrack fans or people keen on research and photo reference i thought id give a link to a group i found very useful.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SdKfz251/
i found the hardest part when researching paint and camo schemes of older vehicles was that most reference photos are in balcak and white. This group has mostly colour photos of museum exhibits aswell as restoration projects. Lots of close up photos of track links and other areas of interest for us modellers. Also some great photos of the of the BIG halftracks trucks that modelers are enjoying at the moment.
hope it helps someone....

Man, I thought this was a reference for the US half-track series
I did check and I do own a couple of German half-tracks, a cannonenwagon and a little one with a small turret on top. I don't know the SdKfz of them though. Thanks for the link.

Here is a good reference page. It's been around for a while.

Now Rob has to look up and report back which 251 versions he has. :-)

All right, it's a 250/9 Half-track w/20mm gun (little one) and the big one is 251/9 Ausf. D 7.5cm Kanonenwagen. Both were given to me by a friend, and were started. I picked up some PE for the 251/9 by Part, figured it would spur me to complete the kit.

hi, see if you can get a copy of ryton's sd kfz 251/250, from rzm imports. best reference on the hanomag i have ever seen. covers all the variants of both types. color and line drawings.
