Ok,
I know some company will eventually offer one, so my question is- has anyone done so yet?

I am wondering if it might be too heavy for an already overweight kit.

Hi. Haven't heard of any after-market stuff out just yet. Key work being YET. It's coming though. Like Rtwpsom2 says, there is a weight factor to consider on this. I've built a tank or two with the aluminum barrel installed and have had to add some weight inside the rear of the turret to make it set level on the vehicle in question. But there is more than one way to skin a cat. Oops, sorry kitties. Maybe one could be made with a solid rear section that would hold it more in balance once mounted. Or position it where you would want it and glue it in solid too. Just watch and wait. Give it 6 months or so and you'll see all kinds of stuff comes out for both kits in question. Get it first and slide it in the closet or under the bed and have patience. It will come.
Take care, sgirty

As soon as you have either completed the kit with much time spent on carefully removing any evidence of seam of had a barrel custom turned, one will become available. This is the Peter Principle of modeling, chapter 4, verse 2. #:-)

hmmm, didn't think of the weight consideration (isn't that what the NASA scientists said before they sent off one of a many Mars probe?)
So, Mr. Surfacer 500 and I will get to know each other very well this fall
-AJ- you are so right- I bought the Leopold as a nice 'winter' kit to work on during the short cold months. Eduard of course will release their PE set about a week after it's finished.

I think there is already a pe kit for theDragon kit out there. Lord how much would the tube for that monster cost. LOrd they want $10 just for a Tiger 88mm. And the weight, they'll have to add special strengthening pieces so it'll attach to the model without breaking stuff. Glad I'm not into railroad guns, but sure looking forward to snapping a few photos at a show
