A really small AFV, but nice and a had fun building it. It's Dragons old set, but I've changed the roadwheels, and used the ones from Marquette instead. They have the right size and then they're detailed on the inside, too.
I also used some etch and tools from my spares.
Feel free to comment.

It really looks good Jacob. Seems to be a nice amount of chipping to convey some wear, but not overly done. Wish the images were a little larger though ... its hard to see the finer details and touches.

WOW!!! This is an inspiration to me. I was fretting about doing the complicated camoflauge on this one. Now I see that you can do an excellent version without all of the color. BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Excellent job Jacob. As mentioned by all, the paint job and weathering are very well done, I particularly like the exhaust and am curious as to how you achieved such a realistic "rusty" finish on it.
This is good inspiration to get me going with my 1/48 Hetzer.

Thank you all for the nice feedback and comments.
Frank: You're right about the pictures, but I have to make them "smaller" to make them fit the webside. Maybe I should Take the next pictures more close up.
Jeremy: I use artist pastels, which I grind up and brush on. These can be mixed with water, and painted on like normal paint, AND! They are much cheaper than the ones from MIG.

Jacob the recommended size for pics onsite is 800 x 600 so yours could be nearly twice as big as they are.
Good work on the Hetzer- one of my favourite AFVs

Looks really good, I just built a Hetzer and painted it the exact same way. Cant wait to build a Warsaw Uprising diorama for mine though.

It is a nice Hetzer.
Good paint and weathering.
So Marquette road wheels you say wow.
I did not know they even made a Hetzer.
Good deal.

Jeff: You're right, Marquette dosen't make a Hetzer, but a track and wheel set for the Pz. 38(t). Sorry!

Jacob, did you apply a flat clear coat on the exhaust after applying the pastels?
I'm looking forward to trying out the earth colored set I got from the local hobby/art store on my next project.

Jermy: No, I've added nothing, which means, that if you touch it, it'll come off. It is possible to cote it after applying the pastels, but it'll darkend the color. Very light colors, such as dust, will simply disapper. So, try some on an old kit, before you use it on your current project. Good luck.

I think the weathering that you have done is some of the finest that I have seen. Subtle and authentic.
Grateful if you would share your skills and methods with us here.
I'm building a 1:6 scale RC Hetzer and I would like to mimic your skills if that is OK?
Best wishes.
Peter.
