I think the necessary hull/turret/suspension would be from the rare DML M4A1 75mm and the tracks from RHPS. I'm not sure if the bogies are the M3 type, early M4 type or upswept arm type on the movie tank though.

This is a pic of the tank from the film.
The actual tanks used in the film were Canadian built Grizzlys.
Now, to be historically accurate, the only types of M4 Shermans used in OMG were M4A2's with 75mm guns and M4A2's with 17pdr - Fireflys.
More info soon...

No. The Italeri kit is a late wet stowage/large hatch hull. The Canadian "Grizzlies" in those photos and in BoB are the earlier dry stowage/small hatch hulls. They are very different.
An alternative to the rare DML M4A1 kit is the new kit from Formations: http://www.formationsmodels.com/
This kit will take care of the hull and turret, but I'm not sure who might sell CDP track and drive sprockets.

While there may have been some M4A2 75mm (Sherman III) present, along with 75mm M4A4's, I've never heard of the A2's being used for Firefly's. It's my understanding that the A4 was the main Firefly base (Sherman VC), together with M4 composite (Sherman IC/hybrid) & later some standard M4's (Sherman IC).

The only CDP tracks and drive sprockets that I know of are from S-Models in Poland.
