This is my first armor kit that I have ever built.I am a 1:72 only military aircraft modeller so this was quite a build for me.For the first time i tried to replicate mud.The mud actually is real mud that i mixed using dirt from outside my house.I mixed this with pronto so it stuck to the model.this kit is the 1:35 Trumpeter T-55A.I know it has major issues but no need to go into that now. This model should represent a Macedonian Army tank used in the 2001 war against albanian terorists.I hope you like my model.

regards,Dragan

Great! Nice job on an unusual (to us anyway) topic! Do you have photos of the original vehicle? Any photos of any other Macedonian armor?

thanks a lot here you can find many pics of Macedonian armor. The fact is that the Macedonian Army did use several types of T-55's,ones with the biochemical protection turret, some T-55 AM modernized versions and this early type turrets.

I like it, Dragan. And for your first ever armour build, it's a damn fine effort indeed.

Hi Dragan,

Great T-55 and nice to see one done in the markings of your own country. For a first attempt at 1/35 the paint and details are excellent!

Just one thing by way of feedback, unless supported by photos, the cordite staining on the muzzle is something you don't see on real vehicles. Just look at real tanks on firing ranges and photos of tanks in heavy combat in WW2 etc. I also made the same mistake with cordite staining when I started doing armour.

Look forward to seeing more of your work Dragan!

Gary
