Hello my Braille Scale friends!
With this post I would like to invite you all to Swedens most enjoyable
modelling competition held in Malmoe on the 30th to the 31st of October.
In an attempt to increase the respect and knowledge about us the braillers
we will try to get as many small scale subjects on the tables as possible
and we also have set aside tables for those who do not care to take part
in the competition itself but still wants to show their stuff in what we
call Special Interest Groups.
If this sounds just a little bit interesting and you want further info
please send me an e-mail and I'll supply you with more information.
Here's a link to the event:

If something looks weird in the translation, don't blame me, blame Google
Best Regards

Yup!
Its a really nice event and show even though it has become difficult to place in the 1/72 armour category due to Sven-Åke.
Hopefully I give you a match with my Wittman Tiger I, should I ever start to paint it.
Its my intenssion to go there as well but being laid off for the moment means that I cant make any promises. Frank (Plastic Battle) is keen on going as well.
Also I have had my hopes for C4-Open to make an english version of the page to perhaps attract more people that doesnt speak the language of the heroic and glorious.
Cheers

If I can get an additional 20 or more subjects on the table (non Swedish contestants) I promise I will only enter the competition in the diorama class and and if the public vote says that I should step back and only judge the competition, well so be it
I would love to see that Tiger btw... That would make me enter the single vehicles class too
Cheers

Nah, if Im going to compete I would want to compete with the best. Wouldnt have it any other way.
Heres some pictures of the Tiger. I will however change the homemade starantenna for a photoetched one and add an antenna on the turrer.
Sorry for the crappy pictures. The model is a kitbash between two Dragon kits with additional details from the Revell kit along with homemade details.
I intend to have it moving forward in high grass in his last charge.
Cheers

I've only heard great things about the C-4, and I'm considering going, but can't make it this year, so maybe next year. Usually I go to the IPMS Danish Open, but these guys have ripped me off for the last time
Good luck this year.
Best regards.

Ahh, you cheap bastards can do as you usual do and put three men in the trunk to save on the fare.
I have to drive 600km one way to get there.

That is understandable but if you get a few friends to go with you and split
the cost there could even be money over to buy some kits

I think it's great that many of you in our neighbouring contry Denmark show
interest in our competition. You are very welcome next year Jacob!

I have the same 600KMs ... and have to listen to " the heroic and glorious" the whole way there!!
But .... it is worth it .... great show, good models and good fun. Theres already a lot of Danes who make the trip ... maybe some of you guys could team up with them?

I think that you have been behaving so well lately Frank, that is time to promote you to a Swede. An honour that has not been given to many irish over the years.
Say, "hej" to your new motherland.
I know its hard to find words for such an honour, so you dont have to thank me.
Cheers

This sounds great. I'm all for supporting anything that raises small scale armor awareness. Anything you guys can do over there brings the best of the industry one step closer to North American shores

Thanks Jeremy!!!
We will try our best but I think that we who build small scale armor often
believe that it's not good enough for the competition tables and therefore
stay at home or at least leave the models at home while perhaps going
to the various competitions as a visitor instead.
That's why we will have different tables for different types of models and
people who wishes to show their stuff but not be part of the competition
itself. Hopefully it will make a lot of builders come out and share their
builds with the rest of us...
Cheers

I'll promise there will be a full report from the event...
I only hope that people really come to the show with their stuff either to compete or just to put on display at special tables outside of the competition...
It seems that Braillers in general are happy just to build their models and put on the shelf but I hope this will change one day so we can have a healthy and growing Braille Scale class to look forward to...
Best Regards and Thanks for your support!!!

I have been pushing English Bob to enter something this year .... wonder if he´s completed something or will show his small scale conversions? He promised me he would. Maybe the show tables are more interesting for him than the competition tables?
