Hi all
This is my Marder II from Dragon. It's a very nice kit, but I found it harder to build than other kits. I'm probably being spoiled by all those "Smart kits". Please comment.
Regards
Jacob
I tried to make more detailed shots this time, so here you go Frank

Very nice work - I like the variations in colors used here and there. One thing I would change next time would be less rust on the tracks and maybe mix in more dirt instead or together with the rust for more variation there.

I like this quite a bit, particularly the whitewash. How did you do it? And yes, I agree with the comment about the tracks..It does look too rusty and it detracts a bit from the otherwise very nice look of the vehicle.

Thanks for the nice comments.
Rob: When I do whitewhash, I paint the vehicle dunkelgelb all over. Then I mix an off-white color, which I spray on in an uneven coat, so some of the basecolor shines through here and there. When dry, I use the sponge method to make the chipped effect around the edges, and a small brush for chips elsewhere. the finnishing touches are made with different dark washes and a bit of very lokal drybrushing.
Yes, I agree with the track color. It is too rusty in contrast to the very light colored vehicle.
Best regards.
