I just recieved this kit from the E bay Santa. Was very looking forward to getting this kit, and now i have it, my enthusiasm has waned a bit. It is still a great kit, depicting soldiers/marines in a very convincing action pose. As Cookie has allready pointed out, there are a few short comings with the kit.
Also the helmets are very simplified with what looks like just the camoflage helmet cover on it. No Glasses or NVG mount. The gas mask cover is the M17/M17A1 pouch, not the current service pouch. The ammo poches with grenades attached are the old alice type
. The weapons arent too bad, with the grips allready cut off. The only weapon that could really be used for Current marines is the one with the double mags and ACOG sight. All the others are early 2000's, and ealy 90's style, with the M249 being the pre-PIP model. The carbine with the M203 is the XM-117 not the M4. Also one of the weapons is the Colt LMG, a version of the M16A2 with a carry handle on a forward stock, and bipod. while the set gives you 6 different weapons, at least they could have been current versions. A good idea would be to get some of the Trumpeter weapons kits.
Other than that, a pretty good kit. I'll be putting my build log on Historicus Forma in the next few days.

I agree with the comments made here. There was a thread on these figure sets several months ago that stated the same differences/inaccuracies between the box art for the Marines and the actual contents. The poses are still excellent, the figures for that set just need some alterations to make them accurate I believe.
