Mates,
I am about to stay with the German stuff, after having finished the horrible Pzh 2000.
So do you have any good or bad opinions about HB' Leopard 2 A5/A6?
Thanks a lot,
Adam

the kit is OK although the anti slip pads are way over scale and because of the way they are moulded onto the hull not easy to remove. I would suggest the Tamiya one or even the italeri one over the HB one

I have it in my stash, and it looks very nice (don't know about inaccuracies)

Do yourself a BIG favor and take Keith‘s advise and use the Tamiya kit, best Leo 2 kit around!

To have a realy good model of Leopard 2 A6 tank you need:
- Leopard 2 A6 from Tamiya
- Voyager "big kit" with a lot of PE parts and aluminuium barrel
- tracks from Bronco or AFV
Leopard 2 A6 from Hobby Boss is one big rubbish.

The HB kit isn't that bad. I got mine on sale for $18. Besides what has already been noted, the fit of the turret armor can be tricky. The barrel assemble can be a bit fidgety as well. There's a couple smaller build issues. Nothing major or really out of the ordinary.

Yes the Tamiya is the better kit, but that's NOT the question. Focus people, he's asking specifically about the HB kit and any issues it may or may not have.
As previously stated, the anti-slip sections are on the thick side and some bolt detail is missing from the drive sprockets, but over all it will build up into a fair representation of a 2A6. So much so that its the base kit for my next 2A6M CDN
cheers
