Hi guys,
In my stash I found an old ESCI LAV-25 ( yeah, i know, how could I be that stupid to buy it ) that I want to convert in something else.
Are there perhaps any photo's of prototypes LAV-25 on the Net.
Untill know I'm noy been able to find any.
Would a mating of the LAV-25 with a T-50 turret be a good idea ?
It should have to bee any US version !!
Anyone got any good suggestions ??

With a T-50 turret that would definitely classified It as a what if. Seeing that the T-50 turret is so small it would fit atop the LAVjust fine. Any way I have a photo that I found some time ago, under the heading of prototype. Now I don't know if this is just what your looking for but it's something.

Talking about LAV-based prototypes, what about Air Defense ones ?

You might try and find information or images on the XM1047, the designation applied to vehicles tested by the US Army during the 1980s. Also, remember that the LAV-25 is a derivative of the MOWAG Piranha I series, so that opens up a whole new search string. Army Recognition.com for instance has a picture of the MRL variant tested by the Swiss, but I believe not put into service.

Hay I have felt that same way at time when I would get lots of photos on a project subject. Some times it can make you feel a bit overwhelmed with ideas. An this can some times lead to a projects stopage. So to get passed that overwhelmed feeling, I suggest you take a little from each photo (equipment idea) and add them together on the one concept/what if LAV you will be working on.

MOWAG has built many very cool and fancy prototypes bading on their piranha family. Today most of these vehicles are part of a collection at the military museum in Full/Reuenthal in Switzerland. I'm quite sure you'll find a version which fits you mind.
