Well after destroying the turret for my AFV Club M3A3 trying to make some of my own weld seams) I decided to make a Yugoslav M3A3 with the Quad Flak 38. (thanks for the article Paulo!!) I took the base of the quad 20mm and cut the circular part out, and mounted in/on the turret ring (see pic) The other pic shows some crappy quad Flak 38s I had laying around but never finished cuz I broke some peices. Just for Visualizational Purposes. Kits used AFV Club M3A3 (nice kit btw) and Tamiya No. 35091. Whatcha think??

I think I like it! Very nice conversion.
I saw a pic of this vehicle somewhere "?" Was this an actual vehicle used?

According to Osprey Stuart book, and this site http://mailer.fsu.edu/~akirk/tanks/yugoslavia/yugoslavia.html it is. (wether mine is 100% historically accurate I don't mind, I couldn't actually find a photograph, so I'm taking so called artistic license with this one) The site says the Yugoslav 1st Tank Brigade used both converted Quad 20mm and a PaK 40 on the M3A3 chasis. Note there was an M3A3 with a 150mm sIG33 mounted (didn't last long tho). Hmm...which one to do next....

There's one blurry picture of this tank in Squadron's Stuart in Action. It's wearing three tone hard edges camo. The M3A3 is what they list as the base tank.
Your conversion's looking way cool.

Shame about your turret, however, that is one very cool conversion. I really like those vehicles that armies have cobbled together from different sources/nationalities. They have a sort of crude look to them, but clever. Keep us posted on your progress.

Very nice Jason. I'm planning on doing a similar thing with a T-34 the Jerries captured and cobbled together.
