Does anyone make a conversion for the Sd.Kfz 11/1 to carry the 2cm Flak 38?

Thank you.

I may be wrong in this, but didn't Italeri release this vehicle a while back?

Not sure, I'll have to have a look around and see.

Thank you.

Italeri did the Sd.Kfz.10/4 and Sd.Kfz.10/5 but never an Sd.Kfz.11.

The 2cm FlaK version of the Sd.Kfz.11 is an armoured version that looks similar to the Sd.Kfz.251 and the SWS.

I don't know of any conversion kits available sorry. I'm making the version that mounted the Pak 43/3 L71 and I found it was a lot easier to modify an Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.B to make the armoured Sd.Kfz.11 base than it was to try and add armour to an Sd.Kfz.11 as either way was going to require a new rear deck anyway.

Thank you, that is what I figured I would have to do. From the 250 the only peiece that is common is the front grill armor, as the rest was a new design for the 11.

I'll look closer at my Panzer Tracts to see.

This is what you're looking for. I don't think it was actually classified as an "SdKfz 251/17 late version" however. Panzer Tracts called it something else I believe.

I was looking at that lastnight and thought it looked like the right vehicle, but it is for a 251 D and not the 11/1, unless they are basically the same vehicle chassis.

The Sdkfz 11 and SdKfz 251 did share the same chassis.

That Leadwarrior one is actually an armoured Sd.Kfz.11 anyway ( as is the one in the reference photo shown with the conversion ), not an Sd.Kfz.251. It's a common mistake as they look very similar ( not surprising as they're the same chassis etc ) but there are a few subtle differences
