Hi guys,
I had been curious how the Agama Patinators worked out when trying to do a late WW2 German 3-tone camo.
Well, here is my first attempt.
(The ICM SdKfz222 needs no further introduction, I guess, but suffice it to say it is a lovely easy-to-build kit.)
The patinators were easy to use, but I actually wanted a slightly 'harder' camo, which I failed to achieve. Nevertheless, for softer schemes with small mottles it is far easier to do then with an airbrush. (At least, for me.)
I am actually quite happy how it turned out, even though I had to strip the coat of varnish three times, due to my own clumsiness.
(Pictures are clickable.)
Looking at the pictures, I need to get some dust of the model...
Thanks for watching,
Rob

Thanks Eddy,
the figure is from AB. Perhaps not entirely anatomically correct, but a pleasure to paint, due to the strong relief on the faces.
Cheers

Quite simply with a fine brush. :-)
I first drew a fine line with slightly wet patinator and after this had dried I blurred it with dry patinator.
I did not manage to get darker stripes, but apparently this can be done with the edge of a piece of cardboard/paper or blunted tooth pick.
