In 'Generation Kill' one of the open topped Humvees , meaning no doors and no top, has it's spare tire mounted near the right rear corner of the body. The tire is mounted so that it just clears the top of the body and is oriented parallel to the ground. Would this be a 'field modification'? Does anyone have any pictures with a spare tire mounted this way on a Humvee? I think this Humvee was Sgt. 'Poke' Espera's, Team 1 Bravo. Am trying to figure out how to replicate the mounting hardware.
