OK...I was poking around the 'Net the other night and read a review of 2 different M1 Engine Resin Kits. It went into a reasonable level of detail as to what the merits and problems were, etc.
Does anyone know where I can find this review again?? I have looked in all the "usual places" and come up empty-handed! I REALLY want to find this as an M1 with an open engine compartment/ removed engine is on the list of "To Dos" (a bit down the road, but still on the list).
Thanks!

Could be from the Missing Links Abrams tweaks list.

Rob;
It was more recent and it dealt only with Engine kits...
Damn!! If my memory serves me right (haha) it was a popular site.
Thanks for the response!

Jim,
The "Tank Guys" site has a quick blurb on the Model Valley set in their M1A1 comparison, but I agree with you I remember seeing a whole lot more somewhere....

Hi Jim
I've got reviews of the M1 Abrams engines by Kirin and Legend on my site, perhaps that was what you were looking for?

cheers Kees

Nice reviews Kees.
It kind of bugs me that Italeri got the back deck (engine cover for you non-tankers) wrong. The Legends one looks better, at least they molded the grills to the back deck and not to the upper hull. Still looks like they didn't do the forward access plate correctly though.

Thanks Rob
It seems to me that the bigger kit manufacters don't use much reference, like for instance the whealt of information about the M1A1 or M1A2 found for instance on your site or Matt's.
Time and again rather big mistakes or omissions occur.
I like your recent engine pictures of the humvee and the m900 series very much, thanks!
It must be nice to sit on the source, and have all that equipment at your doorstep.
cheers Kees
