HEY,

I just realized you are over at the airfield!!!!! Yah; I knew it, but I didn’t KNOW IT. Don’t know, had it stuck in my head that you were over by South Post.

We used to convoy a couple trucks (2 1/2t) down to Westover, then air load onto a C-130 and fly up to Hanscom. The joy of prepping a M-35A2 for loading, yuuuuuccccckkkk!!! Then putting it all back together at the other end.

Congrats on the hits.

Most people tend to think we are by the Barnum Gate (excuse me, "Entrance"), there is a National Guard equipment site there (ECS?) but I'm not familar with them. Yes, I'm at the airfield and run along the runways daily. Our maintenance bays are the former hangers, I've got the old Aviation Brigade commander's old office, big enough to play racket ball in.

Rob,
Congrats on 1000 hits! Someday not to far off we may be celebrating 5000, and 10,000!! Yikes!

I was thinking about doing up a special graphic for your album. Stay tuned.

Looks like another 300+ since I started this thread, and that was less than 2 weeks ago. Man, at this rate it'll hit the 2000 mark by June's end. I'll add some more photos tonight (23 May).

I hadn't been to the ArmoramA reference gallery in a while. Then I visited it today... Man! When did you ever upload so much stuff? Jim? Sabot? There's tons of useful stuff! I could spend days there! I also noticed that a WW I gallery has been started, which got me interested in a project I'd thought of doing a while ago: scratchbuilding that tank from the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Thanks for putting so much useful stuff on the site Jim! And thanks fro taking so many pictures, Sabot! :-)

No problem, I took pictures of the M1070/M1000 Super HET (tractor trailer combo that can pull an M1A1), some pictures of the M1074 PLS and M1076 PLS trailer. Also a couple of shots of an old M578 recovery vehicle and its big brother the M88A1. I also took photos of an M109A5 to show the difference bewteen the tracks and running gear that was brought up in an earlier thread. I also double-checked and found out that I do not have an M981 FIST-V, but an M901A1 ITV. Sorry about that false alarm.
