Well here is my newest installment, just finish Hobby Boss’s ZLC-2000 and I have to say this kit was a real gem to build. The kit built was built almost out of the box; the only thing I replaced was the kit smoke grenade launchers with metal ones from Voyager. I only had one fit issue around the front of the bow when mating the two halve together. However, that was an easy fix with some putty and sanding. I had to replace a few welds around the turret as the sprue gates fell right onto the welds, for this, I used Archer surface detail. My only real complaint about the kit is the vinyl tracks, I’m not a big fan of these kind of tracks as the only paint I use is acrylic paint and this kind of paint didn’t want to stick the tracks all that much. Next time I will use some enamel primer from a rattle can before painting. For the paint, I used a mixture of Vallejo and Tamiya for the base coat and the usual Mig filters, washes, and pigments. I wanted to keep the weather down as these a new vehicle and do not see the rigors of combat “YET”. I wanted the tank to have a dusty look to it and the chips to the minimal, as I do not know the quality of Chinese paint and if it is anything like our CARC paint; then there would not be a whole lot of chipping going on. Other than that, another model done and added to my collection, I cannot wait to build my next one from Hobby Boss and I highly recommend this little beauty to everyone.

Nice work, love the Chinese stuff!

Is the red "sagger" type missile a training round?

Thanks James and Ryan for the comments.
Ryan I couldn't really tell why the missile is red other than I have come across both red and white missiles installed and a few that don't even have the launcher in place. But if I had to guess it's probably a trainer just like we use blue color pratice rounds for our ground and air equipment.

Good job Christopher! Sharp looking paint job!

During ODS I saw "Saggers" in bright red, green and even one if I remember right that was purple!

Thanks everyone for the great comments, there's defiantly more to follow soon. I wanted to keep the paint and weather more inline with todays operational AFV's. Todays paint quality is far better than it was 50 years ago, so I kept the paint chips down to certain areas and going by memory from what my truck looked like in the motorpool after going to arial gunnery from all the dust and dirt kicked from the helicopters. Agian, thanks to everyone for looking and commenting.

Although modern armor is not my thing, I really like the weathering on this one. The chipping looks great.
I have never seen the real vehicle, but it appears to have the flimsiest running gear Ive ever seen on what I would consider a pretty big vehicle.

Thanks David, I can't wait to see the ZTZ finished, I've been wanting to build one for awhile and still debating which kit to buy.... either the bronco of hobbyboss. I know they both have their issues, I like the detail in the bronco kit, but I also like the lower cost of the hobbyboss kit.

Thanks Frank, here are some pictures I took to compair the size of the vehicle next to a few others.

The tracks are about the same size as the panzer I, I'm not sure how the cross country mobility is with this thing, but looks like it might get stuck in the mud pretty easily. Or maybe it's like a vw and you can get enough people to lift it out of the mud
