With the recent additions in aftermarket wheel sets with burned out or damages road wheels (mainly in the T-34/Tiger series), I was thinkin' someone should offer the road wheels for the M48/M60 series vehicles, as well as the M1 series. If you were to stop by any motor pool, not to mention any field vehicle, an examination of the rubber on the rims would show small-to-large chunks of rubber missing.

Any takers in the aftermarket arenas?

You're right about the roadwheels. It's a pain to take out chunks with a dremel tool. Then again vehicles in the desert don't wear the rubber that much, so there is at least one alternative.

I think most of us ex-M60 tankers would jump at a set of aftermarket steel road wheels, chunked or otherwise. My only minor gripe with the Esci (now Italeri and Revell) M60 series kits is that they come with all aluminum road wheels.

But to jump on the bandwagon, yes, resin chunked road wheels would be great. Trumpeter's M1A1/A2 sure could benefit from them.
