Not that it is such a biggy; it's only me being a slow builder.
The dio was almost finished 15 years ago, but awaited some details and a suitable vehicle to add to it.
That suitable vehicle materialized as the ICM Sd.Kfz.222 (shown earlier).
Figures are Dixons and/or Figures Armour and Artillery (can't quite remember) for the infantry and AB for the vehicle commander.
The remainder is plaster, herbs (including home-grown Seafoam) and Garage Exclusive Models foliage.
Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob,
I have been looking at this quite a bit and keep spotting something else to catch my interest, that is the mark of a good diorama in my opinion. Always something else to notice, nice build and paint job.
All the best,
Paul

LOL ... guiness book of records effort?
It must be a great feeling to finally get it completed? Some of the brand names you have mentioned, I have never even heard of ... Dixons figures and Garage Exclusive Models foliage. Ive been modelling for about 9 years!
Is the foilage showing its age, or was it originally so yellow/brown? It really does look like a 70s/80s model ... I have some old magazines from this time and this could be straight out of them. The Sd.Kfz.222 holds up well actually ... nice job on the camo. With more green foilage, this would look spot on, even with today´s standards. I have scrapped so many projects that have dragged out in time .... and Im talking a year or three, because I wasn´t happy any more with the standard. I would find it very hard to use something on the go this long ... but I must say, I enjoyed seeing this. Nice one.

I like the marble base, it's different. Overall a nice job. It must feel good to say "Finished" finally.

I think that is an awesome job.
Your choice of natural lighting for the photo shoot in my mind really makes this special.
That is what struck me first.
The second thing that caught my eye was the variation in the dirt colors, that is very realistic to me.
Props and Kudos.

Very cool. I love the dense foliage. I saw the vehicle when you first posted it. In these photos it looks like the figure is very proud to be where he is. Maybe he just got a promotion

Thanks for the compliments, Paul, Frank, Joe, Scott & Andy !
I actually aimed for something sun scorched and barren, thinking of a hot 1944 summer when the LSSAH recce unit was scouting for the allies.
Then again, I might spray on some more green in a decade or so ;-)
PS:
You can find Dixons here
