Hi Guys I need your help
I am currently building the accurate armour AEC Matador Gun Tractor and was wondering if it was used by the 8th Army Desert Rats 23rd Field Brigade Royal Artillery 1939-1945 in North Africa and Italy if so what decals should I use and what colour should it be painted camouflage etc
I have recently found out that my Grandad was in this regiment and so I would like to depict the correct markings etc of a vehicle within his regiment
Kind Regards
Keven

A Field artillery regiment in ww2 would have used the 25pdr gun/how with it's own gun tractor (Quad) or the 105mm SP 'Priest'/ 25pdr 'Sexton' SP.
A Matador could have been used but it would have been a waste of a valuable madium/heavy tractor.

Hi Keven

If I can find it I have a picture of the one at Duxford - Derert Sand overall if I remember correctly.
Good ides to ask Derek Barton over on IPMS too.
