Well done on the build sofar. You've done an excellent job I think Can't wait to see it painted. Do you have some fancy plans for it?

hello all

thank all for your motivation

-greg : I think I was the only one that had a real batlle with the masterclub tracks and roadwheels< That almost cost this model a one way trip to the trashcan, I also have the trumpetter trackset but they have a fitting problem.
The KMK modelshow is soon mabye Ill buy a new set of the masterclubs, will see

-erik
I think Ill make the sides more triangle en a tiny edge at the rear, from the photo from that link you included, I dont see it as a basket,I did not clue that part on yet so that link of you is a big help.

karl and andreas thank you for your kind words

-jurgen no fancy plans< painting is hard and to tell all you the truth: Iam a builder and not a painter< I got every paint thing you can think off, so will see.

-oliver, I know your build to well, It is a great one, your bmp started this one.
I see if i have some more pictures

greetings

Very nice work and great improvement of the basekit!
I also had/ built some BMP-2 kits, but found "they´re okay", until I had an internet-connection and found some great tips/ hints for improving the kit.

It would be fine, to get one BMP-2-kit which has a great accuracy! (perhaps Panzershop)
But one has to say, the Dragon-kit based on data of a great secrecy. (around the early 1990´s)

Hi Chris,

Great to see the progress shots of your BMP-2. I recently built a 1/35 Revell BMP-2 from the box and the kit wasn't great. My building skills aren't quite up to scratch-building standard [yet] so it's great for me to see what can be achieved. In the end I weathered mine fairly heavily to hide a multitude of shortcomings!

Your build is fantastically awesome! The improvements are really good and help to improve the model a lot.

I too am planning a massive BMP-2 project-i will be using the pretty useless AEF upper hull, SP turret, masterclub wheels/tracks, modelpoint barrel a ton of etch and a ton of plasti card. Whilst looking at plans though I have discovered the DML kit to be way too at the rear of the hull, and my SP turret is too small. Alas these are problems I will have to live with.

What modelpoint stuff are you looking for? Its incredibly hard to get hold of, i have recently been lucky enough to get my hands on the ATGM launcher and some other bits.

hi rob.

the dragon/ zvezda is indeed totaly wrong kit,but it is the only one.
Ive loved to be working on good production one< but that a onther story.

Modelpoint is in my opion one of the best in modern russian stuff, but as you already said, very hard to optain
I know a russian seller but He only trades by western union.. and thats not the bank I was looking for, paypal is in my point of view the way to go.

Mabye some body is willing to use western union and I can pay him by paypal.
will see.

things iam looking for.

MP3514 100mm 2a70 (got one, but need one more)
Mp3579 76mm D-56TS
MP3598 ATGM fagot... the one you found
MP 303 / 303-1 / 303/4 30mm ammo

So if you find some, let me know

thank you

tell me what you think, bare in mind some parts are not glued.

Oh. if somebody ask.....the green stuff is the original kit...
thanks for all off your interest.
