I have the figure set from MiniArt and would like to use 4 of the figures as the crew of my BergePanther. The BergePanther can be seen here as it gets close to being finished. Now the reason for this post is I cannot find out if the crew of a BergePanther would be a specific uniform or is it a standard tank crew uniform, so can anyone point me in the direction of colour prints of a suitable late 44 BergePanther crew. I also need to know what the specifics of identification of this crew would be.

They're fine Darren. Obviously they are SS but you could get away with painting them black and using them as regular army. For an alternative more relaxed crew you could give these masterbox figures a try.

Thank you for that Pat; I intend to use the three centre figures as you look at the box and show them getting ready to work. I would like to show one or two with camo trousers, would that be a reasonable way to depict these figures?

Black tunics with camo trousers would be okay as would the reverse.

Ah, don't suggest those Pat, that's what I was going to do with mine !!
Managed to pick up both the ICM and Italeri Bergepanthers on Ebay together for £16.00 but I'm not sure which will get built first. Maybe the ICM as all I'm thinking of adding/replacing is the tracks and getting the PE set for it. The Italeri one is a bigger project with its open sections.

Yes, and when I examined the Italeri Bergepanther it had a complete unmade CMK resin Panther interior set included inside the box. One of my best ebay bargains so far.
Don't know about a diorama yet as I have another idea in my head I want to do. Actually Pat one of your unfinished ones is part of the inspiration for it. Can't find the thread, but it's the one of the Germans running away in the rubble. I'll credit you if it ever sees the light of day.
Darren, I can't remember, did you buy the Verlinden Bergepanther detail kit to improve the Italeri or not? If you did is it worth getting?

My thanks to everyone has has replied.
Alan; I have not purchased an aftermarket option for the Italeri kit (I am aware of the issues it has regarding size and accuracy). I have attacked this model as a chance to educate myself as to what is possible within my current skill level. I have turned new drums in brass to replace the horrible drums on the winch with moulded cable detail. I also know that the winch is well wrong! and if I do get around to building another I will try to correct and improve it, but not on this occasion. I have also done some work on the boom which in future I would take further. Please follow the link to the blog at the start of this thread and judge for yourself Alan.
