Ian I have changed the name of the thread you started as calling a thread "help" tends to get it limited views. I hope you find your answers.

The best start for a typical Scots Grey Sherman depends on which period you wish to depict. They used Sherman III in Nth Africa (Pics show DV with both M3 and M4 Suspension) and in Italy (Cast Hood and DV usually with M4 Suspension). In NWE they used the M4A1 and possibly some M4 Composites although I haven't seen an RSG one but some were issued to 4AB.

DML/Cyber Hobby Sherman III DV Initial Production kit 6527 has markings for "Cocky" of C Sqn RSG in Nth Africa Dec 42 as a marking option.

Bison Decals offer schemes including:

Sherman Mk III -" Repulse" italy Oct 43 - Sheet 35089
http://www.angelfire.com/pro/bison/35089.html
Sherman Mk III - 'SHEIK' - Royal Scots Greys, Naples October 1943.Sheet 35051 http://www.angelfire.com/pro/bison/35051.html
Sherman III 'Cocky', Royal Scots Greys, 4th Light Armoured Brigade, December 1942. Sheet 35062
http://www.angelfire.com/pro/bison/35062.html

Suitable kits for these are the
Tasca Sherman III DV 35-L28 (Cocky)
Tasca Sherman III Cast Hood 35-018 (Repulse)
DML Sherman III 6313
The Jury is still out on Sheik as to whether it is a Cast Hood or Welded Hood A2. DML offer the only Brit Welded Hood in their Sherman III SIcily kit No 6231. Cast Hood and DV I recommend the Tasca kits.

My personal Recommendation would be Tasca 35-018 or 35-L28 as these are a gem to build compared to the DML ones which have Instruction and some fit issues. The DML ones offer extensive Photo Etch however these are quite fiddly and IMHO offer little over the plastic parts in the Tasca Shermans.

For NWE the RSG used the Sherman II most of these being late small hatch M4A1 many with HB turrets. The only route for these is Tasca35-012 and Aftermarket or spares box for the HB turret (if that variant is required otherwise you will only need brit Stowage box and antennas. markings will have to be sourced for the Aos (White 122 on Red)and Formations sign (Black Rat)
Cheers
Al
