Hello. This time I'd like to present a "big stuff". Model from Trumpeter wih huge amount of mistakes. This is only a kind of "learn-test-model" - in the future I'm going to build another one with all possible additional things like engine from Real Model ect.
Model was painted with Gunze C and Revell Airbrush paints. After that some MIG wash, small drybrush and there it is:

Robert,
If that's "with mistakes" I can't wait to see a perfect one! You have done a great job. I have one of these in my stash as a winter project, and I only hope it comes out half as good as yours!

great job Robert, that is one beast of a model. where does one put such a massive machine on display?
the only mistake i can see is the need to now spend money on another great model to ride on that trailer. thanks for sharing your project with us, it turned out super. cheers, mh.

Wow, that's not exactly an inexpensive test bed you have there, and I can only wish my "test" models looked that good. Can't wait to see the "real" build!

I love these big tank haulers, great job on the camo scheme. Nice subtle job with the weathering as well. Thanks for sharing.

As everyone will contest, I just love big trucks and this is no exception. Wow!!! GReat detail and darn fine painting my friend. I am impressed. Great job. I am trying out 1/24 scale trucks, of course, scratchbuilt/modify European trucks and seeing this just fuels my determination to get started.

Very nice build and paint job. Love the muddy tracks on the trailer bed. Will you add a load of some sort here?

Anyone have suggestions on using photo etched accessories on the Faun Transporter. Which ones are worth it and which ones to skip? Cheers.

I built this vehicle twice, once without, and once with PE. To make the vehicle look impressive, you do not need PE at all. To make it complete, invest in some chains and other rigging stuff. I believe someone makes even a specific German rigging set, but I forgot who.
The Trumpeter kit is kind of "okay" but is a diamond in the rough, which means the detailing is not too great (thick plastic) If you want to improve on that, you'll definitely need a PE set. I used the Voyager set which was nice, but then again, it was a Voyager set, so the tiny parts were really frustrating for me. By the way, there are many issues with the interior of the cab. If this bothers you, you'll need to fix this with Evergreen. The underside of the trailer also lacks a lot of detail, but honestly speaking you'll not notice it.

Great job. I really like the detail. Does the kit come with the pnuematic lines and various hoses? What other references, photos etc did you used for your model?
Thanks, Mike

Most of them are included in the kit - search for any inbox.
