Apparently Tamiya will be releasing a 1/16 Full Option M51 Super Sherman with a release date sometime in November. Of course, I have been scratch-building one since Feb so naturally a kit is forthcoming.

I depicted mine in a late service (just before 1990s retirement) IDF Grey scheme. I used a few colors to get the shade I liked so don't use mine as a 'definitive' color.
Base coat is Testors Rattle Can SAC Bomber Tan.
Color coat is Testors Acryl IDF tan airbrushed with my Iwata. I used sludge washes and just a hint of Tamiya desert yellow for modulation and weathering.
My advice for an early M51 as the new Tamiya kit is.... Tamiya desert Yellow!
