Hi Guys,
Here is something I have on the go at the moment: HOUND a Daimler Dingo MkII that landed with the Calgary Regiment at Dieppe
This is the second Dieppe Dingo I've done after HUNTER last year and I do intend to do them all (and all the churchills)
I started with the Tamiya MkII Dingo. I supplimented it with Eduard's etch set (most of which I couldn't use as it wasn't right!) one of my own "Inside the Armour" number 19 sets and plenty of scratch work

The Wheels in the kit have the 'S' type pattern which is wrong for HOUND.
Hound has a variation on the V Chevron with an offset chevron. The only dingo in te=eh raid with this type of tyre. Hussar are releasing a chevron tyre, but it wouldn't be suitable for Hound, and besides I fancied doing it myself
I mastered some new hubs, and using spare tyres from a humber kit mastered new treads with a little scalpel work
I sent these off to my good friend Steve at Celtiwerks who does SUPERB casting and when they cam back got them straight on
I primed and tried a new preshade, spraying white from above going for more of a 'modulation technique' type of thing
Then base coated and immeditely reinforced that preshade by spraying lightened basecoat from above

Then I blocked in the base colours of various details and added the decals

Blimey, this one is popular
Well today I started the weathering with some oil washes of black and burned umber oils heavily diluted with thinners:

I'm finding your affinity for vehicles partially buried in beach sand and rock quite intrguing. Can't wait to see your collection come together

Morning Chris,
Apologies I missed this one completely. Exellent stuff, nice job on the wheels. There is a lot in this build, it's looking the business.
