I'm looking for more photos of the M1117 in action...I'm good with detail shots, but I could use some more in action shots with the various anit-IED device/antennas installed

Scott,
I have some of what you seek from over here in Afghanistan. Drop me an email at [email protected] and I'll hook you up.

It was developed for the MP Corps, however, it was what some could consider the first MRAP in service. It's now issued out to pretty much whoever needs them. MP's use them, as do everyone else. In my CAV squadron, every troop including the attached Engineer company is issued ASV's, with the exception of my troop which has my MP platoon attached to it. I find it rather ironic actually. I worked with some kids from the 82nd DSTB that were mechanics, cooks, 41A's and all sorts of other pogue MOS's and they went outside the wire all the time with their ASV's doing security patrols. So really anyone can have an ASV these days, we have cav scouts, infantry, and field artillery are running around in them.
