Gentlemen-

This is the Lion Roar 1/35 3,7cm Flak 43. This is the high tech kit with all the bit and bobs made from PE and complete with lathe turned barrel. Don't mix it up with the recently issued GWH kit L3519. I added the ammunition set as well.

The kit is certainly not for the beginner or the faint of heart, but I'd say it's the best Flak 43 in any scale out there.

Questions and Comments welcome!

Cheers,
Guido

Looks good Guido, the grenades add a lot of colour to it.

Thanks, Guy!
The ammo is from the ad on kit provided by Lion Roar.
It depicts HE ammo with a 1/4 tracer mix. AFAIK 1/4 and 1/5 tracer mixes were the most common mixes used.
I am glad you like it!
Cheers,
Guido

Just found this thread....Man, this thing looks superb, Guido!!!

I was fortunate to have found this same kit from Lion Roar on sale at Lucky Models a few months back so it now sits in the stash waiting its turn. Not really looking forward to dealing with all that PE at the moment so it will sit there until I feel the need to fondle with it.

This build sure is inspirational though and will be used as a reference.

Nice job on the ammo!

Thanks, mate!
(Sorry, I hadn't seen your reply I had not subscribed to my own thread: Dough!)

Artillery projects are actually stalled at the moment as my interest in modern aircraft (my roots) have resurfaced. Been away from aviation subjects for many years and now I'm finding myself re-learning basic aircraft modeling's dos and don'ts.

Don't know if you saw it, but I've been shedding most of my artillery collection for some 1/32 aircraft and so now I am only down to 4 guns in the stash.

I am planning to start with one more artillery subject soon as I am not fully ready to tackle one of those 1/32 aircraft subjects so stay tune for some pics of the work (as soon as I figure our what I want to do that is )

Rob-

don't you back out on us! The Artillery community seems small enough as it is!

I won't but for some reason I don't have the same 'drive' I had for them...I guess we all need something different at one point or another to keep things fresh.

And I agree, the arty community is a small one.

Thanks,

Rob

Oh, it's only fatique then! A very common phenomenon.
You know I do ships usually, but there are times I need to divert. That's when I do all those nice things like artillery or an aeroplane; I even did build a tank back in the day. In the end I go back to ships all the time.
Anyway the most important is that you stick around with us.
Cheers,
Guido
