Recently started this Tamiya Humvee. Inspiration came from Generation Kill, Brad Colbert's ride. I'm hoping to make it look like the Humvee in the TV show, not necessarily an authentic model of an actual "real life" vehicle.
Comments very welcome.

The interior has had a base coat of green but I've got a feeling I've put the wrong seats in.
Anyone know what colour these seats should be? Are they the ubiquitous greenish canvas?
Thanks in advance

Not sure if they are the right seats or if the older ones included in the kit are correct, but the seats are green.

I am actually watching that series the last few nights. Strictly speaking about the mini-series, from what I can see, it looks like the seats are the older kind. I will try to confirm that this evening during part 4

Hi Ian
Looking forward to this build log. I dont think you'll need the Blast Armoured doors though, these did'nt enter service until the end of the war & the start of the "insurgency" ..I'm pretty sure I have spare Marine Humvee doors if you need them (just drop me a snail mail)

In part 4, you get a decent shot of Colbert's seat when they abandon the vehicles due to fire from a ZSU. The seat is definitely the older type

Nice start Desmond. The Blast interior is really looking good. How was the fit of the dashboard ?

Hi Roy,
The Blast doors look very like the armoured doors Brad Colbert has fitted to his Humvee. In the first episode he is chasing around asking if they have turned up. If the window shields in the doors are left off then they look almost identical.
Thanks for the offer though mate. Appreciated.

It's a good job I've kept hold of the original seats

Hi Olivier,
Thank you for your interest. The dashboard did not fit very well. I had to remove quite a lot of the AM part to make it fit. It seems to look ok now though to my untrained eye.
