I've had no experience of the other two but the K59 one is extremely nice.

Do they put five in the bag because you ruin 4 trying to cut them of the casting blocks

In case you hadn't guessed I hate resin.

Hi

I'd say if you can find a Dragon figure set with Gen 2 weapons in it that has the MG42 amongst its weapons you'd have a pretty good example, and some spare figures etc. into the bargain. At least as good as the New Connections resin in my opinion.

Don't know about the K59 one but the pictures show it very detailed. Can't seem to access their web site like before. Looks like they may have dropped these from their product line, along with the Marder interiors etc. so pick it up while you can if you go K59.

You can add the one released by Tank to the list :

The main issue is the super complex barrel jacket which has holes along the top and left side while also a long slot on the bottom and right side. No plastic manufacturer that I'm aware of has succeeded in this.

Now defunct Jaguar used to make one but the sample I had was kinda mushy. Later I got the K59 one which I reviewed a while back

Haha, your last comment in that review is spot on. Ever since I got the K59 one every other MG42 I do seems so dull by comparison. The hardest part is finding someone selling them.

The best you are probably going to get is by combining the K59 gun with Adlers Nest metal barrel, but that really would have to be the purists route, wont be cheap either:
