By mistake I placed this new topic into ARMOR/AFV. So I repeat it here in Modern Armor. For replies of other modellers see there, too.

A new variant of Leopard 2 has been shown during ILÜ Nord 2010 in Munster. As far as I can translate it ILÜ [Informations-Lehrübungsblock NORD (Munster)] means Information and Training meeting NORD in Munster.
There is also an ILÜ SÜD taking place in Hammelburg.

If you have a close look to the pictures you'll see that is a really interesting variant showing
- the shorter barrel again
-additional armour
-dozer
-searchlight
- something like desert camo
etc.
