?? Not sure - here's what I would check - no offense but I'm going to run down the obvious
1. Make sure air comes through your air hose without the AB connected
If No - Not the AB
2. Remove the nosle and needle and see if you can see any obstructions
remove prolem and try again
3. Make sure the vertical (air movement) trigger goes up and down.
If it doesn't try and dissassemble and fix the trigger
4. With the noosle and needle out see if you can hook up air and blow air through.
If not the internal air flow chamber is blocked - ? try running some thinner or something through it.
5. Put it together and see if the needle move back and forth as you move the trigger back and forth.
If not see 3

Or - take it back and get a replacement.

On the back of many airbrushes there is either a barrel or a screw setup that can be adjusted. This isncreases/decreases airflow. When I bought my Paasche I had the same problem you describe and adjusting that screw fixed it for me.

Maybe a silly question but is the AB new or used?

Just happened across this thread........was going to suggest basic disassembly /cleaning(overnight)/reassembly & new try-out, but it seems you've fixed it after all!

Good on ya!

Call me Rain Man. I suspected that was the problem. Great. Welcome to the wonderful world of airbrushing.
